I had nothing but trouble with GoDaddy. I used their WYSIWYG website editor, Website Tonight, only to find out that it supported limited scripting languages. Then they said I could not move my website to a regular hosting account because of “template copyright.” I also found their homepage difficult to navigate with all the advertising and promotions. GoDaddy spends a lot of money on advertising. Don’t let that fool you into thinking they are the best and only options.

Even though I buy and maintain all of my domain names at Godaddy.com
($7.49 special by the way > http://budurl.com/749GoDaddy), I would never host with them. They do not use Cpanel, the industry standard and migration is very difficult away from them. The marketing is their strong point in my opinion.

I buy my domains here and have not tried the hosting. However, in transferring several domain names over, GoDaddy customer service was helpful in explaining how to get it done. On the other hand…they are very much into pushing the upgrades when I call customer service. I do like the “domain manager” set-up…it is very user-friendly and allows you to see everything at a glance!
